It's 1 AM. This is not a research problem. You have more research than any couple in history has ever had access to. It's a filtering problem — too many options, no way to compare them on the axes that matter (does this place actually know how to run a baraat, or is it going to be the venue coordinator's first one), and no way to know if "great vibes!!" in a review means anything.
The Instagram Grid Isn't a Database
Here's the quiet failure mode of researching vendors on social: a beautiful feed tells you nothing about availability, pricing, or whether they've ever worked a three-day Indian wedding versus one civil ceremony and a hashtag. You can't filter an Instagram grid by city, budget, or rating. You can't ask it "who's actually good for a 300-person sangeet in Rishikesh." You just... scroll, and bookmark, and scroll more.

Where the Data Actually Comes From
This isn't a scraped list of dead links. The directory is built from real listings — ratings, review counts, pricing signals — for twelve destination-wedding cities:

That list is deliberately narrow. We'd rather cover twelve cities properly than fake coverage everywhere.
Outside those twelve cities
Ask the Planner for a venue in Tuscany or the Hamptons and it won't invent one to be helpful. It tells you straight — that city isn't in the directory yet — and passes your brief (budget, style, must-haves) to a human on our team, who follows up with real names. Same thing happens if a covered city just doesn't return a good match: the Planner escalates instead of settling for a mediocre suggestion.
The Numbers Are Estimates, and We Say So
For venues and hotels, the Planner also surfaces a rough guest capacity and an all-in cost range — useful for a first gut-check on whether a place even fits your headcount and budget. These are estimates built off review volume and pricing tier, not a quote from the venue. The product shows them behind a small info marker for exactly that reason, and the Planner will tell you the same thing if you ask: get a real number before you sign anything.

What It Doesn't Do
Worth being blunt about this part. The Planner doesn't book anything, doesn't call the venue, and doesn't negotiate a contract. It surfaces real, filterable matches and lets you take it from there — a DM, a call, a site visit. The tedious part (finding who's even worth calling) is what gets automated. The part that actually needs a human — walking the property, tasting the food, reading the room during a negotiation — still needs you.
